I'd just like to give a special mention to my marketing mentor, Josep Chias, who is unfortunately no longer with us. A master of his discipline, he worked
on projects of high calibre. The Japanese would call him a “sensei”, which means “he who was there before me”, a guarantor of knowledge and experience, “he who transmits”. I had the privilege of working with him,
and he taught me a great deal. I remember his permanent smile, gentleness and calm which were only matched by his insight, accuracy, talent and ingenuity. Far removed from automated marketing, putting people at the centre of every strategy wasn't just an empty phrase or one of those expressions
that advertisers are so fond of because it sounds good. Thank you, Josep.
